Lava Stalactite

Lava Stalactite is a kind of drooping viscous lava drops hanging like stalactites from the roof of the lava cave. Due to the reduction of lava supply, the flowing lava inside will separate from the upper solidified crust of lava flow, which makes the residual viscous lava beneath the lower surface of hardened crust form lava stalactite by gravity. A single lava stalactite is usually 2-4 cm long and the largest one can reach 10 cm.
