Ancient Post Road
Ancient Post Road used to be the major land traffic passage in ancient China. According
to historical materals, it was one of Balhae Kingdom’s vital traffic
outbound routes of the capital Shangjing Longquanfu. It was also the famous
tributary road by which Balhae tributary staff mainly paid tribute to
Tang Dynasty through traveling this road, which
provided the high archaeological and appreciating value. The length is more
than 1,000 m and the wheel track grooves on the basalt ground are still visible,
with the 1.05 m in width between the two grooves and 5-20
cm in depth.
