Formation of Volcanoes in Jingpohu
Jingpohu
is located in the Dunmi fault zone in the eastern margin of Eurasian plate.
Since the Cenozoic (more than 65 million years ago), this area has been
influenced by the northwestward subduction stress of Pacific plate, and has
gone through the process of transformation from extensional tectonic
environment to compression environment. And the lava spills along the juction
of the fault structure, thus forming Jingpohu volcanoes.
