Jingpohu UNESCO Global Geopark is located in Ning’an region of Southeastern Heilongjiang Province, 55 km from Ning’an City and 80 km from Mudanjiang City. The geopark covers a total area of 1,400 km2 and mainly consists of sixteen volcanoes as well as one volcanic dammed lake. From 12,000 to 5,140 years ago, there were many volcanic eruptions.
